The Triage Meditech CCNPWT Vacthera VTG-2901 is a portable, lightweight negative pressure wound therapy system designed to promote faster healing of acute, chronic, and complex wounds. It works by applying controlled suction (−20 to −220 mmHg) in continuous or intermittent modes to remove excess exudate, reduce edema, encourage granulation, and maintain a sterile wound environment. The device features a 14-hour battery backup, safety alarms for leaks, blockages, or full canisters, and supports app-based remote monitoring. Indicated for diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, trauma wounds, surgical wounds, venous or arterial ulcers, and skin grafts, it helps reduce infection risk, minimize dressing changes, and improve patient outcomes, though it is contraindicated in cases with active bleeding, untreated osteomyelitis, necrotic tissue with eschar, or exposed organs and vessels.
